November whirled right by us as we tried to recover from a hectic October! We were able to enjoy some beautiful days outside riding bikes and flying kites and in general just enjoying our simple life here at home; watching movies, having 'carpet picnics', play princess (jane), church and grocery trip on Sundays, grilling out, and just keeping it very casual. We enjoyed a very fun visit from Aunt Katie, whom my daughter thinks is her personal Aunt, and also had an amazing time in Nky for the Thanksgiving holiday. We enjoyed "party games" like Musical Chairs (which we've had to recreate at home with the 4 of us - not nearly as much fun) and some adult games as well which we were long overdue. We were invited to Joel and Sarah's condo downtown for a fun dinner and then to watch the humongous Christmas tree lighting on Fountain Square. It was a wonderful time but the wind was biting, as evidenced by the pictures below.

Beautiful day and Jane was desperate to try out her new kites |

She was a very fast learner - you can see the small, pink Disney princess kite in the very middle of the sky |

I love this picture |

Making an ornament with Aunt Katie! |

Luke suckered Aunt Katie into puzzle-land, his latest obsession |

Trying to get the 3 Grandkids to smile AND look in the same direction is like trying to herd cats. I give up. |

Standing in the blistering cold to wait for Santa and see the Christmas Tree light up |

Sorry mom, but just wanted to depict how biting the wind was... |

Jane LOVED the firework show after the Christmas Tree lighting - she was enamored |
